It has a substatial part of its efforts directed at data and information managment issues, especially facing the petroleum engineering community. Its editor, Jeanne Perdue, based in Houston, Texas, is a well known name in petroleum engineering circles, and oil and gas publishing circles This London based journal is another great read, originally focusing on the developments with the eField technologies from smart wells, to other eField challenges facing the petroleum industry. It has expanded to cover more mainstream issues of data and information management and emerging technology and issues and developments that will be impacting both the eField and data/information management in the petroleum industry | This horizontal-cross industry publication is another must read for staying on pace with more-macro developments facing petroleum data and information management - always a great read. John Soat, who writes the "CIOs Uncensored" column provides wit and wisdom together for particularly interesting situations impacting our data communities. John was keynoter at the 11th conference in Houston, giving the audience a view of the mega-trends impacting the direction of data management. |
