Phil recently spoke to the University of Missouri- Rolla
Student Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers
We had a fine group of 30-40 students from Petroleum Engineering
as well as the Geology Department.
 
Topic:
"Succeeding as a 21st Century Petroleum Engineer -
Taking Charge of Your Destiny"
 
Abstract:
This presentation covered:
(1)  the drivers of why all energy development is important
(2)  technologies driving increased recoveries on more marginal resources and in harsher conditions
(3)  critical skills and taking charge of your career
(4)  limiting factors including being good as your weakest link
 
Population impacts, alternate energy needs and resources were discussed along with critical skills including communication skills.
